Day 1

Active recreation will begin upon arrival at the airport on June 24, 2018. Meeting with a guide at Podgorica airport and transfer to the north of the country.

You and I will travel almost the entire country, arriving at one of the most beautiful lakes in Montenegro - Lake Piva.

Surprisingly emerald-colored water, which reflects the majestic mountains and blue sky. Its length is 48 km between the mountains in a flooded gorge. The depth reaches 200 m and is the largest source and reservoir of drinking water in Europe.

Day 2

June 25, 2018

Day schedule:

- 08:00 fishing on a boat on Piva Lake 4 hours

- 14:00 horse riding on the Durmitor Plateau 3 hours

The beauty of Lake Piva is emphasized by the emerald color of the water, which will captivate you so much that you will want to come back again and again. It is located in the north of Montenegro, not far from the lake - the canyon of the Komarnica River and the Piva Mountains. The length of the lake reaches 48 kilometers, the maximum depth is 200 meters. The lake is home to trout and maple (chub), the water is usually azure in color. In summer, the water warms up to 22-23 degrees.

After swimming, a boat will be waiting for us, which the captain himself made with his own hands, the cabin next to the boat is from a Range Rover)) You will never forget a walk along Lake Piva. On a boat we will “glide” along the glass-smooth water of this lake, and around you there is stunningly beautiful nature, green forests with rare trees, among which a special place is occupied by the Montenegrin pine, which is under state protection as an endangered species of plant.

From the boat you can swim under the steep cliffs, sunbathe, take pictures and admire nature. Our good-natured captain will definitely treat you to homemade brandy and juices. Will also provide you with fishing rods. The boat can accommodate up to 6-7 people.

2 types of fish are caught: Chub up to 3 kg and lake trout up to 25 kg. You won’t be left without a catch!

The captain gives a 100% catch guarantee for chub. Trout fish differently depending on the month and weather. If it is very hot, it goes to the bottom 35-40 m deep and then it is more difficult to get it from the depths.

Day 3

Day 4

Then the path will lead to the beginning of the Tara River Canyon, the rest of the way will pass along the edge of the rocks, that is, at the very bottom of the gorge. Many stops are planned on the terraces along the road, from which the most picturesque views of the canyon, which is the second deepest in the world, will open.

Its depth is more than 1300 meters, and its length is 78 km. The river also hosts Rafting - the most exciting extreme adventure in Montenegro!

After photo breaks, we get to the deepest place of the gorge at Djurdjevic Bridge - this is a great structure of the mid-20th century. The length of one of the spans is 108 meters above the abyss, and the height is more than 150 m.

Although the bridge is a car bridge, all tourists are still allowed to cross on foot from one bank to the other and even take photographs, since this is one of the main attractions and tourist routes for all tourists.

If you wish, you can go down on a rope through the canyon - Zip-Line. When booking an excursion, it is possible to book a flight.

In the evening return to Pluzine.

Day 5

- 09:00 individual rafting with an instructor for 2 people / Pluzine - Scepan field (guide accompaniment and transfer throughout the day).

There will be a stop at the panoramic site and at Piva River Canyon.

The canyon, according to local residents, is the most beautiful and majestic in Montenegro. Its steep stone walls amaze with their power. There are a lot of wild animals in these parts - from bears to lynx.

When arriving at the rafting site, breakfast is provided. Donuts with honey, cheese, prosciutto and tea.

After having breakfast and changing clothes, tourists climb in jeeps up the Tara River (20 km) to the starting point of your unforgettable boat trip along one of the most beautiful rivers in the world.

During the rafting, there is a stop for swimming in a waterfall. You will be enchanted by the virgin nature and beauty of these places.

Rafting takes place along 24 rapids of medium severity. During 2.5 hours of rafting, you will feel adrenaline rushes and experiences that you will remember for the rest of your life. The Tara River spends most of its journey in rapids and waterfalls. The nature of its flow is truly “mountainous” - with rifts and whirlpools, and only closer to the end of the rafting it becomes calm and leisurely

In summer, the river has a beautiful emerald color; its waters carry a refreshing coolness even in the most intense heat. The water temperature rarely exceeds 12 - 15 degrees.

If it is very hot, we do not advise you to wear wetsuits, as you can get steamy in them, and the splashes of water will only refresh you from the Montenegrin heat.

Upon completion of the rafting, we change clothes, take a shower and sit down at the tables right there in the restaurant, surrounded by pristine nature with a beautiful view of the confluence of the Tara and Piva rivers into the Drina river. National Montenegrin cuisine awaits you with the main dish Yagnetina izpod Sachem - young lamb baked in its own juice with baked potatoes under a lid.

Lunch is included in the price.

Rafting on the Tara has the II category of difficulty, so it is completely safe and suitable for people without special training. Tourists from 7 to 60 years old are allowed.

After lunch we gather, have a glass of home-made brandy for pasak and return back to Pluzhin.

Day 6

- June 29

Daily schedule:

- 09:00 departure to the Nevideo canyon to complete it with instructors (guide accompaniment and transfer throughout the day).

Departure by car from Pluzine to the Canyon of the Komarnica River, called Nevidio. That’s what it’s called, from the word Invisible. Its length is only 3.5 km, and its width, there is a separate place where it reaches only 40-50 cm.

Arriving at the starting point, breakfast is provided in the canyon of the Nevidio River.

After breakfast we change into wetsuits and special equipment for Canyoning.

For a long time the canyon was not explored and only in 1965 a group of skilled rock climbers made the first passage along the river bottom of the Nevidio Canyon.

Until 2006, the canyon was considered a difficult passage that could only be completed brave athletes and climbers.

The beauty of this canyon is very difficult to describe in words. This natural phenomenon will captivate you from the first minutes of your stay. The length of the path in the canyon is only 2700 meters, but with obstacles you can overcome it in an average of 3.5 hours. Imagine yourself in the very center of a breathtaking canyon, to float down a river only a meter wide, while all you can see above is a thin line. Upon completion, we change clothes, take a shower and sit down at the tables right there in the restaurant, surrounded by pristine nature. National Montenegrin cuisine awaits you with the main dish Yagnetina izpod Sachem! – young lamb baked in its own juice with baked potatoes under the lid. Lunch is provided in a national restaurant, also with famous local food: dried meat prosciutto, cheese, čorby (local soups), kajmak, Shopska salad, young red wine and much more to your taste and choice!

After lunch we gather, drink a glass of homemade rakia for pasak and return to Lake Piva to the pre-booked houses.

Day 7

Seventh day - return home to Budva with a visit to the monasteries along the way (guide accompaniment and transfer throughout the day).

First we will visit the Piva Monastery. In 1959, when construction of the dam began, the bottom of the canyon in which the town of Pluzine was located began to be flooded with water. There were roads, bridges, hospitals and the Piva Monastery, and there was an order to leave the city so as not to remain under water. The Montenegrins could not leave and say goodbye to the monastery, so they dismantled it pebble by pebble and moved it higher into the mountains and built it the same way it was built back in the 17th century. Here we will light candles for your health and peace and you can buy monastery wine and slivovitz.

Afterwards we will go to the Ostrog monastery

Our first stop will be at the lower Ostrog monastery (Podostrog), where we will visit the small church of the Holy Trinity.

Take a close look frescoes that depict the life of St. Basil of Ostrog the Wonderworker, how he received pilgrims of all faiths, not only Orthodox, but Catholics and Muslims. He treated believers with his prayers and herbs.

Then we will climb to the upper Ostrog. Many people wonder: why was it built so high? - the answer is simple: first of all, monks believe that the higher you are, the closer you are to God. Secondly, when it was built (the monastery of the 17th century) - it was the militant time of the Ottoman Empire and the monks built churches and monasteries in hard-to-reach places, such as the edges of cliffs or steep mountains, caves.

Once every 10 years, white knitted socks are changed on the relics, when they take off the old ones, the monks notice the worn out soles every time. It’s such a miracle that the spirit of Vasily Ostrozhsky is still rising up and down. It is believed that if you climb on foot, or even better barefoot, from the lower Ostrog monastery to the upper one, the whole soul is cleansed and all a person’s sins go away! The Upper monastery is separated from the Lower monastery by a serpentine road about 3 kilometers long, passing through the forest. However, pilgrims on foot usually use a shorter, straight path, which can be covered in 30-40 minutes.

Those who cannot climb on foot for some reason can sit in a car that will take you to the top of the upper Ostrog monastery.

The Ostrog monastery is the third most visited in the world after Jerusalem and Mount Athos in Greece. Seeing it for the first time, it is difficult to believe that it was created by human hands.

In a small cave-type church, the relics of the Great Basil of Ostrog the Wonderworker are kept - the most knowledgeable and revered in all the Balkans. Bending down, pilgrims enter through the low doors and venerate his relics. Here people are still being healed, getting back on their feet after long illnesses, praying for their loved ones.

Upon reaching the bell tower of the monastery, you will notice another church dedicated to the Life-Giving Cross of the Lord. And opposite, a miraculous vine grows from the rocks. When it bears fruit, having eaten one grape, a girl can become pregnant from her loved one, who have wanted a child for so long, but it still didn’t work out before.

As in Moraca monastery, in Ostrog there is a monastery shop where you can buy various church utensils, icons, candles, and Brojanitsi - Serbian-Montenegrin amulets. The guide will tell you more about them.

We will spend 2-3 hours in Ostrog, after which there will be a lunch break, which is provided in a national restaurant. Next, the path will continue to the old capital of Montenegro - Cetina.

On a walking tour of the city of Cetinje, you will get acquainted with the history of the city, which dates back to the 15th century.

You will be pleasantly surprised by the huge number of attractions: The Palace of King Nikola, the Blue Palace, the State Museum, the Vlas Church of the 15th century with a fence of 1544 gun barrels and many more interesting things. Visiting museums (optional).

After a walk with a guide, we will visit Cetina Monastery. It is rich in history and preserves the Hand of St. John the Baptist - three fingers of the right hand, who baptized Jesus Christ. A piece of the life-giving cross of the Lord on which Jesus Christ was crucified and the relics of Peter of Cetinje - the founder of the Cetinje monastery.

If you have crosses on your body and everything you buy in the monastery shop, be sure to consecrate it on the holy relics by venerating them. Зhere you can also light candles and write notes for your health and peace. The Cetinje Monastery is the center of the Montenegrin metropolis for the entire Serbian-Montenegrin Orthodoxy.

After a long stop in Cetinje, we return back to the coast of Montenegro home. We will definitely make a stop on Mount Braichi for a photo break with a view of the Budva Riviera and Budva. This is where the paragliding flights.
