It is impossible to remain indifferent at the sight of the delightful architecture of the chambers of the rulers of the city, but the most powerful impressions await you in one of the oldest Christian churches on the Adriatic coast - in Cathedral of St. Tryphon (Tripuna 1166). By the way, Saint Tryphon is considered the heavenly patron of Kotor.

A visit to the Orthodox monastery of St. Nicholas, which is included in the list of the best monasteries and churches in Montenegro is a real gift for all believers, as is the excursion to the monastery Ostrog. Here you can venerate ancient images, submit notes about the health and repose of relatives and loved ones, and light candles. After getting to know the city, it’s time to change land to sea: tourists transfer to a pleasure boat. The ship is designed so that it is convenient for everyone to admire the surrounding views, and the sea voyage is as comfortable as possible. There is no need to be afraid of rocking, the sea is calm and here in the bay there are never waves, and you won’t even remember them while admiring the views of coastal towns and picturesque cliffs.

Sailing from the Bay of Kotor we will see the ancient city Perast. Since time immemorial, it has been known as a haven for all seafarers and famous captains of Montenegro.

There was a nautical school in Perast - one of the first in the world. The head of this educational institution was the great Montenegrin navigator and shipbuilder Marko Martinovich, through whose efforts this place became famous throughout Europe. Russian Tsar Peter the Great, the creator of the Russian Navy, sent 17 young men from boyar families here for training. It was these young people who later became the first officers of the young Russian Baltic Fleet. Perast is perfectly preserved; for five centuries it was a border town. The Venetians and the Austro-Hungarian Empire left a rich architectural heritage; this is where you can admire Baroque masterpieces, luxurious palaces and fortifications. During its heyday, Perast received enormous privileges from the Venetian Republic, a kind of medieval offshore, thanks to which the townspeople became fabulously rich. The city's own fleet in the 18th century numbered more than a hundred ships, trade was carried out throughout the Adriatic, and the income was partly used to decorate the city. No wonder the bell tower of Perast is considered the highest (and most expensive!) on the eastern shore of the Adriatic! Today, Perast has several times fewer inhabitants than three centuries ago, and the city has become one of the most popular tourist sites on the coast.

A few hundred meters from Perast we will see 2 islands. Since the 9th century, there has been an abbey of the Benedictine Order on the island of St. George; cypress trees rush up among the ancient walls, which give the island an exceptionally picturesque appearance. Next to it is island of Gospa od Škrpela - “Our Lady on the Rock” or “Our Lady on the Reef”. Two extraordinary islands will appear before your eyes.

Surprisingly, this is a man-made, artificial island that was built by local residents in the Middle Ages. On a reef that barely protruded to the surface of the sea, two sailors in 1452 accidentally found the image of the Mother of God; through prayers to the icon, many people received healing from illnesses and ailments. Over the course of several centuries, a durable island with an area of ​​3030 square meters was created on this reef. meters, on which a church dedicated to the Holy Mother of God was built. We will visit with you a Catholic church with an unusual altar made of four types of marble: yellow, brown, white and gray-green - this particular Greek subspecies of marble no longer exists in the world. See the largest collection of sailors' amulets in Europe - silver, bronze and gold coinage - about 2500 pieces. A functioning organ that is over 300 years old and a Murano glass chandelier (150 years old). Our boat trip continues: we will sail past several picturesque villages and the narrowest place in the bay - the Verige Strait. Next stop is Tivat. The luxurious marina for yachts and boats “Porto Montenegro” was built with investments from American multimillionaires - the Rockefeller family and Canadian Peter Munk.

Here we have planned a short walking tour along the Tivat embankment. This is a great opportunity to admire luxury yachts, take a few photographs and at the same time find out the mystery of the unusual sundial, and maybe you will solve it yourself!

The coastal zone in Montenegro is densely built up; a tour bus does not have the ability to pick up tourists at each hotel - this will take too much time, and the bus will not be able to travel to everyone.
