Paraglider (from the words: GLIding PARACHUTE) is a non-motorized ultra-light manned aircraft, glider with a soft double-shellwing, which is inflated through the air intakes by the oncoming flow of air.

To gain altitude, pilots use ascending air currents: thermal (arising from the difference in temperaturesair and rising from heated groundair masses) and dynamic (arising from collision of wind with an obstacle, most often mountain).
