The excursion starts at approximately 14:00. Your voucher will include the exact time when you book online. We strongly advise you to take with you a good mood and a camera for taking pictures as a souvenir. This is an excellent option for the excursion, as it takes place in the evening and is not so hot. Our route runs along the coast of Montenegro (Herceg Novi, Njivice, Igalo, Meline, Zelenika, Kumbor, Djenovici, Baosici, Bijela, Kamenari), in these places we also pick up tourists. A trip along the coast towards Perast, Kotor and Tivat will introduce you to the most popular resorts of Montenegro.

Program and description of the excursion Boka Kotor Bay (evening)

The route will begin along Boka Kotor Bay, passing Herceg Novsky, Tivat and Risan bays.

First stopancient townPerast. Since time immemorial, it has been known as a haven for all seafarers and famous captains of Montenegro.

    Пераст Пераст

There was a nautical school in Perast - one of the first in the world. The head of this educational institution was the great Montenegrin navigator and shipbuilder Marko Martinovich, through whose efforts this place became famous throughout Europe. Russian Tsar Peter the Great, the creator of the Russian Navy, sent 17 young men from boyar families here for training. It was these young people who later became the first officers of the young Russian Baltic Fleet. Perast is perfectly preserved; for five centuries it was a border town. The Venetians and the Austro-Hungarian Empire left a rich architectural heritage; this is where you can admire Baroque masterpieces, luxurious palaces and fortifications. During its heyday, Perast received enormous privileges from the Venetian Republic, a kind of medieval offshore, thanks to which the townspeople became fabulously rich. The city's own fleet in the 18th century numbered more than a hundred ships, trade was carried out throughout the Adriatic, and the income was partly used to decorate the city. No wonder the bell tower of Perast is considered the highest (and most expensive!) on the eastern shore of the Adriatic! Today, Perast has several times fewer inhabitants than three centuries ago, and the city has turned into one of the most popular tourist sites on the coast.

And very close to Perast there are two islands: Sveti Georgi (St. George, also known as the Island of the Dead with cypress trees) and Gospa od Shkrpela (Island of the Holy Mother of God or as it is also called - Our Lady of the Reef), who is the patroness of all sailors and captains.

Остров Богородицы на рифе остров Святого Георгия

This is a unique place built by human hands back in 1452. Our guide will tell you an unusual story about the formation of this island. Its area is 3030 m2, we will visit with you a Catholic church with an unusual altar made of four types of marble: yellow, brown, white and gray-green - this particular Greek subspecies no longer exists in the world. Previously, 20 kg of silver were given for 1 kg of marble.

Остров Богородицы на рифе Остров Богородицы на рифе

You will see the largest collection of sailors' amulets in Europe - silver, bronze and gold coinage - about 2,500 pieces. A functioning organ that is over 300 years old and a Murano glass chandelier (150 years old). And later we will go up to the second floor of the church to the maritime museum with various archaeological finds and gifts from seafarers!

We will sail around the islands to once again admire and take pictures against their background.

Next we will take a bus to Kotor, it will fly by unnoticed:our guides will tell you many interesting stories and facts about what you see outside the bus window during the 25-minute drive to Kotor. This city, a true medieval pearl of the Adriatic coast, offers a walking tour that will take you closer to its rich history and culture. But, be careful! Enchanted by the beauty of this place, tourists sometimes get lost for a long time in the intricate streets and labyrinths of Kotor!

It is impossible to remain indifferent at the sight of the delightful architecture of the chambers of the rulers of the city, but the most powerful impressions await you in one of the oldest Christian churches on the Adriatic coast - in Cathedral of St. Tryphon (Tripuna 1166). By the way, Saint Tryphon is considered the heavenly patron of Kotor.

A visit to the Orthodox monastery of St. Nicholas, which is included in the list of best monasteries and churches in Montenegro is a real gift for all believers, as is the excursion to the monastery Ostrog. Here you can venerate ancient images, submit notes about the health and repose of relatives and loved ones, and light candles. On the territory of the monastery, like a precious ark, stands the small church of the Apostle Luke: its architectural appearance has not changed since the Byzantine era, since 1195. Even the 1979 earthquake did not cause any harm to the temple, which was perceived by believers as a miracle.

Of course, you will have free time! You can spend it on a leisurely stroll through the Old Town. In the cozy restaurants and cafes of Kotor you will be hospitably greeted and fed with dishes of Montenegrin cuisine, served with local wine. Don't forget to buy souvenirs to remember your trip!

The best advice for tourists from experienced guides and local residents: don't rush anywhere! Kotor is small, you won’t be able to get lost in it, no matter how much you want it... Feel Kotor with your heart: it’s worth it!

After getting to know the city, we’ll go to Tivat. You will be able to see the beautiful new promenade with a sundial on the pier and the famous Porto Montenegro port for yachts and boats, which was built by the American billionaires Pietermank and Rockefeller.

    Тиват Тиват

A short walking tour with a guide around the city of Tivat and the Porto Montenegro embankment, time to take photos against the backdrop of mega-yachts and guess the riddle - what is the operating principle of this sundial.

    Excursion details

During the excursionWe will stop repeatedly at places with the most interesting views so that you can take photographs from the most vantage point. This tour usually ends around 21:00 pm. It is not tiring and has no age restrictions: families with children and older people willingly travel with us. An experienced Russian-speaking guide will accompany you along the entire route. We invite connoisseurs of architecture, lovers of antiquity and stunning seascapes: you will not be disappointed!

Important reminder! The coastal zone in Montenegro is densely built up; a tour bus does not have the ability to pick up tourists at each hotel or villa - this will take too much time, and the bus will not be able to travel to everyone. Boarding for the excursion in Montenegro is made at the stops along the route marked in the booking, which can be selected when making a reservation on the website.

Arrival time at the attraction, duration of stops and return are approximate. This may be earlier than indicated on the website, or 3-4 hours late. Be sure to read the “Tourist Memo”, which will be sent to you by e-mail along with the voucher.

At technical stops, Montenegrins sell various homemade specialties (honey, wine, rakia...) - our advice: buy what you tried and liked, as it happens that they sell/get the wrong product that you liked during tasting.
