By order of Peter I, it was ordered to build a naval school here for the children of our Russian nobles. He also sent his subjects here to learn maritime skills from the Montenegrins. And the school was eventually headed by the great navigator Marko Martinovich, who glorified this place. Thanks to the Montenegrins, 633 ships were built in St. Petersburg and only 37 on their own. The town is not large, but it has become a favorite place for all tourists. It is rich in museums, churches, monuments and palaces. Today it represents one of the most beautiful examples of Baroque architecture on the shores of the Adriatic. In the Middle Ages, navigation and fishing were very developed. More than three hundred buildings are real palaces that were built on the coast and hillsides with income from maritime trade and customs privileges. Also, military campaigns against pirates brought considerable income - the wealth gained in battles helped decorate the city.

Kotor is the last stop on the program. The best time to visit it is in the evening, since by this time the sun is no longer so strong and you can enjoy a walk along its medieval streets. Those who have little time in Kotor can stay and walk longer after the excursion, and then get there on their own by taxior bus. After the walk from the river pier, the whole group transfers to buses and returns to the resort of your residence - to the same stop from where you left for the excursion in the morning. The excursion is not tiring and ideal for families with children, lovers of history and seascapes. We return around 16:00 depending on the departure point. Excursion details
