Program and description of the excursion to Bosnia and Herzegovina (Mostar + Waterfalls)

The excursion will start at approximately 7 am. Don't forget to take comfortable shoes, swimsuits, hats on your head and be sure to have your passport, as this is an excursion to another country and you will go through customs control between Montenegro and Bosnia Herzegovina. 

The road to Bosnia passes through the coastal mountains, the coast, Tivat and Boka Kotor Bay with a ferry crossing, from which you can even see Perast and St. reef.

We pass by coastal villages, as well as the city of Herceg Novidirectly to the border and customs with Bosnia.

The city of Trebinje, we drive through the center and admire it from the windows. Guidewill tell about the founding of the city, which stands on the beautiful Trebišnjica River with an ancient bridge from the 16th century, as well as other attractions.

Driving along the Trebišnjica River we will see a unique irrigation system for grape fields. Huge wheels are still used by monks to water their plantations.

And also the monastic grape fields and the famous Bosnian Duvan - how tobacco grows (Herzegovina flor), which was smoked by Josif Brus Tito and Stalin in their time. Surprisingly, local residents sell bags of this ready-made tobacco in the city center without examinations and permits.

Next there will be a slightly long road, because real waterfalls await us ahead!

Excursion to the Kravice waterfalls - a national park in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Truly beautiful and inspiring for every tourist with their unusual natural beauties. The Trebižat River originates in the center of the country, with a length of 51 km, which forms the second longest river in Bosnia and Herzegovina. One part of it runs underground, the second - in the open air, flowing like a waterfall into a beautiful emerald-colored lagoon. Sleeves of white water fall from a 25-meter height, shimmering with hundreds of rainbows into the azure water.

The best time to visit the Kravice waterfall is from April to July. At this time, the river is full and the streams of falling water are quite wide. There is a lot of fish in the lake, but fishing is prohibited - it is a nature reserve. Be sure to bring swimsuits and towels as swimming is allowed in the lake. The water is clean and transparent, very pleasant to swim. You are allowed to jump into the lake and stand under the falling streams of water. The photos turn out great! Nearby there are places to change clothes, restaurants and cafes where you can have a snack and drink refreshments! Here we will spend about 1.5 hours.

After enjoying the beauty and swimming, we will head to the city Mostar.

The most important attraction and beautiful place is the bridge over the Neretva River. Built in the 16th century, standing for almost 420 years, it was blown up by a falling bomb during the war, but then reconstructed and to this day colors the city center.

Mostar is a beautiful and large city, listed under the protection of UNESCO. About 100 thousand people of different faiths live here, so you can see Catholic cathedrals and mosques.

Annual bridge diving competitions are held in Mostar - this event is watched by thousands of city residents and guests.

Upon arrival in Mostar we will have a guided walk through the old part of it and free time to visit the city and attractions on your own, free time for lunch and shopping.

Narrow ancient streets with various souvenirs will remind you of the true spirit of the east.

We return back on a special route through Boka Kotor Bay to enjoy its evening landscape from a bird's eye view.
