A boat trip on Lake Skadar

We invite you to take an interesting trip along Lake Skadar with us! This is a wonderful option to relax a little and take a break from the bustle of the city and tourist Montenegro. andThis walk is also suitable for those who are planning a vacation with small children (does not get motion sickness).

Half-day walk around Lake Skadar - 4 hours

Route 1. South side of the lake. Orthodox shrines.

Departure from the marina of the Plavnica Eco Resort hotel, passing along the widest part of the lake past the Albanian water border to the Orthodox island monasteries of the southern part of the lake. Visit to the Beshka convent (14th century), Moračnik monastery (15th century), by prior arrangement, a visit to the Starcheva Gorica monastery (15th century) for a tasting of homemade herbal liqueurs.

Swimming in open water from a boat or from the sandy beach of Muric. Water skiing (optional). Lunch in the fishing village of Radush on a picturesque terrace visiting a local fisherman (carp soup, fried carp, seasonal vegetables, homemade bread, cheese, drinks). Return to the marina. 

Route 2. Southern part of the lake. Architecture and nature.

Departure from the marina of the Plavnica Eco Resort hotel, passing along the widest part of the lake past the Albanian water border to the Orthodox island monasteries of the southern part of the lake. A boat ride around the Beshka convent (14th century), the Moračnik convent (15th century), the Starčeva Gorica monastery (15th century).

Swimming in open water from a boat or from the sandy beach of Muric. Water skiing (optional). Travel by boat to the extreme point of the lake from the Albanian side and visit the waterfall. Lunch in the fishing village of Radush on a picturesque terrace visiting a local fisherman (carp soup, fried carp, seasonal vegetables, homemade bread, cheese, drinks). Return to the marina.

Route 3. Northern part of the lake. Orthodox shrines of northern Skadar. Option 1.

Departure from the marina of the Plavnica Eco Resort hotel, passing along the widest part of the lake to the mouth of the Moraca River. Visit to the island monastery of Vranjina (12th century). A walk along the Moraca River delta, where the largest number of lake birds gather, access to the northern part of the lake and a boat ride to the island monastery of Kom (15th century). 

Swimming in open water from a boat, water skiing (optional). Return to the northern part of the lake through the Lesendro fortress and the prison island of Gomajur. Lunch in the fishing village of Radush on a picturesque terrace visiting a local fisherman (carp soup, fried carp, seasonal vegetables, homemade bread, cheese, drinks). Return to the marina.

Open water swimming from a boat in the clear water of the reservoir, water skiing (optional). Visit to the Orthodox monastery Kom (15th century). Return to the southern part of the lake through the mouth of the Moraca River. Lunch in the fishing village of Radush on a picturesque terrace visiting a local fisherman (carp soup, fried carp, seasonal vegetables, homemade bread, cheese, drinks). Return to the marina.

Route 5. Northern part of the lake. Nature of the rivers of Skadar.

Departure from the marina of the Plavnica Eco Resort hotel, passing along the widest part of the lake to the mouth of the Moraca River. A walk along the delta of the Moraca River, where the largest number of lake birds gather, access to the northern part of the lake and a boat ride to the mouth of the Crnojevica River.

A boat ride along the winding and picturesque river to the village of Reka Cernojevica, getting to know the architecture and culture of the ancient village, lunch at the national restaurant Mostino. Swimming in open water from a boat, water skiing (optional). Return to the northern part of the lake through the Lesendro fortress and the prison island of Gomajur. Return to the marina.

Route 6. Northern part of the lake. Secrets of the Tsernoevich princes.

Departure from the marina of the Plavnica Eco Resort hotel, passing along the widest part of the lake to the mouth of the Moraca River. A walk along the Moraca River delta, where the largest number of lake birds gather, access to the northern part of the lake and a boat ride to the island monastery of Kom (15th century).

Passing through the narrow and picturesque Karatun river to the Zabljak Cernoevich castle (walking walk). Swimming in open water from a boat, water skiing (optional). Return to the northern part of the lake through the Lesendro fortress and the prison island of Gomajur. Lunch at the Ozero restaurant (visit to the Plantaze winery).

You can choose one of 6 walking routes along Lake Skadar, or the boat captain will tell you the best one based on your preferences already on the spot. For beginners, we would recommend routes No. 5 and No. 6

The route for the day (up to 9-10 hours) includes any 2 of the above routes.

COMMENT: At the request of guests, we can extend the walking time and see more sights of the lake, payment is hourly + 70 euros for the next hour. When renting a boat for the whole day, a guide is a gift, the program is discussed with tourists upon meeting.

Water ski rentals 20 euros per person

Lunch in a fishing village 15 euros per person (without alcohol).

• If you want to capture your trip, we will organize for you a professional photographer or video shooting from a quadcopter/professional. camera for an additional fee and within a day you will receive a disk with photos and videos that you will have for the rest of your life!
